The Hot Springs Village Evening Lions Club serves as a dedicated environmental steward for our community through consistent roadside maintenance and beautification efforts. For many years, our volunteers have invested significant time and energy in removing debris from Village roadways, formally participating in the Keep HSV Beautiful initiative, which aligns with the broader Keep Arkansas Beautiful program. Our club maintains responsibility for a substantial six-mile stretch along Desoto Boulevard from Carmona to Ponce de Leon, with fifteen or more Evening Lions regularly participating in this vital environmental work and contributing between 125 to 150 volunteer hours annually to keep our community's roadways clean, safe, and visually appealing.

In celebration of our club's 50 years of service to Hot Springs Village, the Evening Lions Club recently completed a transformative community recreation project at the HSV Balboa Beach area. Through an ambitious fundraising campaign in 2022-2023, our members successfully raised nearly $45,000 with generous support from club members, donors, and sponsors throughout the community. This fundraising achievement allowed us to procure and donate comprehensive recreational equipment to the HSV POA Recreation Department, creating a multigenerational park that enhances the health and wellness of villagers while providing valuable space for community interaction and fellowship.

The Evening Lions Club's vision for community recreation has been realized in a 200-foot playground area adjacent to the Balboa Beach swimming facility, now equipped with diverse recreational options for residents of all ages. The newly installed amenities include a sand volleyball court, a Baggo court, a merry-go-round, a swing set, a geodome climbing apparatus, a shaded picnic canopy, an integrated playset with slide, and convenient playground benches. This comprehensive park development represents our club's commitment to creating lasting community assets that improve quality of life, promote active lifestyles, and strengthen neighborhood connections throughout Hot Springs Village.
